Default Pre-Searing?

I never hear discussion of pre-Searing farming... probably because it isn't as profitable as other places by any stretch of the imagination. Nevertheless, what are some efficient builds for farming the beasts of this blissful land?

As it so happens, I'm running a Mo/Me Catacomb dye farmer specifically for the 2x damage inflicted by holy. I am enjoying it so far, but the drops seem erratic. One run I'll get two or three, then I won't see another for two or three runs. :|

I'm interested in getting a build for hunting the Charr, specifically Charr Bags.

Well in all honesty, its presearing... For farming, you get nothing of real value except maybe dye or a charr bag which overall theres better ways to make money... as fo Builds you get so few skills, having any "build" is pretty much all the skills you got anyways. as for fighting charr... best to go with a partner. As a Monk though I been able to go charr hunting with my bear since lvl 10 and smite/wand from behind with no problems. but you already accepted your secondary (I havent) and i havent tried with mes secondary... doubt its impossible just give it a shot, although Id stick with a partner until lvl 14+ cause chaots are really bad for you ;D

Hi there, pre-searing can actaully be very profitable, a guildie of myn loves it and has level 20 char in there specifically for farming. He sells crap swords shields for 200k plus (pre-sear money double value of norm game money by the way) its a weird little comunity! I think there a web site called presearing.com or something which tells you all about it and has the famrs and auctions etc.

Pre-searing can be VERY profitible, just working on my LDoA I cranked out over 110k in 4 days. Although that was at the start of the CSK craze, but between kits and bags, dont be surprised to make 100k every week or so, just in pre.

Just to add, if you ever plan on making a pre char to farm charr, go with a ranger, I can do solo boss runs in 3 min and I am only lvl 17.

GL to ya, and ya it is presearing.com

c ya there.

Name me one sword in Pre that can be sold with post searing money.

You might wanna say "20k" or even "2k" to make it sound more believable

See above.

GG bragging on owning level 10 bosses with a level 17 Ranger and probably a level 16-17 pet.

Dude are you just a flamer? He wants honest advice, not a snivelling child. GTFO.

I'm a post-sear player, but I know how hard it is to clear the Shrine, even at level 17. I saw a level 18 Ele/Ranger with a level 20 Dire Pet clear it; you might be level 18, but you have 7? Armor.

For pre-sear, I'd personally suggest you take Mo/E, then take the Protection Prayers quest along with the Bandit Raid quest, and just farm and refarm Alain and the other level 3 bandits outside the Abbey.

I made this video a long time ago (on my prev PC so not great graphics) showing the run
Clicky

Hope this was some help to you ^^

Green Storage has no clue. A 11-16 14^50 +18% vs charr purple sword would be pretty much the CLS of pre. An axe of around 6-19 with very bad mods I recently got 50k for.

Charr salvage kits with 5 charges go for around 6-9k, charr bags go for around 1-1.2k. Blacks go for about post price -1k, whites go for pretty much the same price. You can get 3k for minor vigors, around up to 2.5k for the more popular minors like minor fire. a few k for stuff like +27 hp grips. Ales are 100g each. 1:2 preost gold.

But yeah, soloing the bosses is easy from as low as about level 7 depending on class and by the time you're level 17 I imagine stuff would pretty much just die when you look at it. Never got over level 14 personally so wouldn't know.

First off, it is a lvl 20 pet

Secondly, imagine getting 1 CSK each day for 10 days straight, ZOMG at 11k each WTF can we do basic math? 110k every week and a half...hmmm, imagine that. Try to learn about a pre economy and spend more that 9 seconds in there to post you mending wammos.

My Green Storage,

Some of the wealthiest players in Guild Wars generate their income from pre-searing. These guys don't blink twice when spending millions for the "right" items in pre.

If you truly want a rude awakening, you should have seen a couple weeks ago when the blackmarket was in full roar. There's more profit in pre-searing than many parts of post. Even more so, now that Loot Scaling is brutally active.

i got a character going for LDoA, and i've seen some insane stuff in pre searing. just doing some research on pre, i saw an axe with a charrslaying mod (max damage, as far as pre goes) which was 14^50 going for an ungodly amount of black dyes. i've seen screenies of people with 100plat in their inventory and a STACK of black dyes. crazy stuff in pre, but it's all worth it, even if there's no storage. i can't wait till my mez gets LDoA, i'll just hang around pre bein all cool.

I'm not much of an "experienced" pre farmer... but I just started.

I got a Mo/E... I farm the Bandits, Bears, Catacombs, Spiders. Havent tried yet with the Charr.... but I dont think a Mo/E is a good Charr farmer.

What makes Bandits worth farming? I can destroy them with my Mo/Me.

Conjure Phantasm + Banish + Shattered Delusion ftw.

apparantly ppl farm dyes from bandits during bandit raid quest because supposedly pre seering has less items so more gold chance

ONLY during the Bandit Raid quest? Because if so, I already completed (I believe). In either case, I was planning on starting a W/R or a R/W for farming Charr and the likes as I don't believe my wee Mo/Me and her 7 AL armor could stand up to their brawn.

By the way... which would be better in the long run? W/R or R/W? I am already running a W/R in post-Searing (previously W/Mo) so it would seem kind of redundant to create yet another Warrior, thus I'm leaning towards having Ranger primary. But would it make an outstanding difference?

R/Me seems to be a popular choice.
